Clean your Samsung Galaxy speaker

Samsung Galaxy phones have speakers at the bottom and in the earpiece. Water and pocket lint get trapped in both. This 3-phase sound program shakes them loose — no app required.

Max your volume, then press start. Place the speaker facing down.

How to clean your Samsung Galaxy speaker

  1. Take off the case and wipe the phone dry.
  2. Raise the volume with the side key to about 90%.
  3. Point the bottom speaker down over a soft surface.
  4. Press Start Cleaning to run the water-eject program.
  5. For the earpiece, hold the top of the phone down and repeat.

What NOT to do

  • Skip the hair dryer — heat harms the battery and adhesive.
  • Don’t charge until the USB-C port is dry.
  • Never poke the speaker mesh with pins.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I remove water from a Samsung Galaxy speaker?

Run a 165 Hz water-eject tone at high volume with the speaker facing down. It works the same on Galaxy S, A, Z Fold/Flip and Note models. Repeat 2–3 times.

Does this work on the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip?

Yes. Fold and Flip speakers benefit from the same vibration-based water ejection. Run the program with each speaker facing down.

Why is my Samsung speaker quiet but dry?

Dust and lint clogging the grille is the usual cause. Switch to Dust Clean mode and brush the grille gently with a soft, dry toothbrush.
